Prenatal Support
The prenatal appointment will give you the information you need to start your breastfeeding journey with confidence.
This visit includes:
In-depth maternal history and breast assessment
Discussion of your breastfeeding goals
Understanding what to expect in the first days.
Education including, but not limited to:
- Bonding and feeding in the immediate postpartum period
- Feeding in the first days
- Establishment and maintenance of milk supply
- Increasing milk supply
- Normal newborn behavior and feeding patterns
- Preventing and managing sore nipples
- Latching techniques
- Diaper counts
- Sleep patterns
- Managing engorgement
Prenatal appointments (90 minutes) are $140 for home visits, or $100 for an office visit. If your insurance policy is not in network, you will be billed up front and provided with a superbill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.
